Episode 6 – Hope Reborn – Bozo Bomb Trap Unleashes a Deadly Cyberpunk Gauntlet

    Intro Paragraph

Bozo Bomb Trap turned an unfinished Night City office into a lethal playground. The crew resumed the Real Estate Rumble job inside a flooded room crackling with electricity. Iris traced the current to a wired device hidden beneath cardboard. Bull crossed the room through exposed ceiling supports, landed beside the mechanism, and uncovered its components. Unfortunately, the crew’s thrown tech tool landed short, leaving Bull stranded above the energized water.

Nova solved the problem with construction debris and a remarkable display of basic tech. She built a stable walkway, retrieved her tool, and cut the power. Better still, she salvaged the electrical floor trap for later use. The group then entered an unfinished bathroom, where ChoJo found a vent leading into another office. Everyone followed him into a room covered with teal warnings and a cranking jack-in-the-box. The Bozo Bomb Trap had moved from electric shock therapy to theatrical demolition.

The toy announced another countdown, but Nova confirmed it held no explosive. Bull noticed disturbed drywall, and Nova spotted light leaking through a crack. Iris cut through the wall and exposed a timed C9 charge attached to a central support. Bull realized the blast could collapse the whole building. Then Nova’s failed disarm attempt accelerated the timer. Before the crew could recover, a construction robot carrying a red balloon rolled forward and released biotoxin. Most of the team took the hit. Iris spent every remaining point of Luck, disarmed the C9, and ended the immediate threat. The crew survived, identified the Bozos as the pranksters, collected hazard pay, and uncovered disturbing new evidence about Project Halcyon.

    Key Characters Introduced

    • Dr. Elias Rodas: Biotechnica’s chief executive officer authored the order terminating Project Halcyon. The recovered directive demanded that its research, samples, records, and operations be destroyed or shut down.
    • Dr. L. Morrow: This name appeared in the recovered Halcyon records. Thiago identified Morrow as one possible lead for the crew’s next investigation.
    • L. Ansel: A relationship manager connected to Kressler and Veil Private Financial Services. The name may offer another route into the money trail behind Halcyon.

    Key Events

    • Nova defeated the electrical floor trap: She built a walkway from construction materials, recovered her tech tool, cut the power, and salvaged the trap’s reusable components.
    • The crew uncovered the real Bozo Bomb Trap: A jack-in-the-box distracted them while the actual C9 charge sat behind drywall. Bull noticed the disturbed wall, Nova found the hidden light, and Iris cut the bomb free.
    • A biotoxin robot attacked the group: The construction drone approached with a balloon asking, “Have you seen my daddy?” It released biotoxin that injured Bull, Iris, Nova, and ChoJo before its battery died.
    • Iris prevented the building’s collapse: Nova’s failed disarm attempt accelerated the timer. Iris committed all six remaining Luck, beat the demolition challenge, and safely disabled the C9.
    • The Halcyon conspiracy expanded: Records showed that Biotechnica ordered the project terminated. However, Sabine Kessler moved personnel, samples, equipment, and money into Weber Strategic Logistics to continue the work off-book.

    Standout Party Member Moments

    • ChoJo: ChoJo climbed through the bathroom vent and found the unfinished executive office. He later scouted the hallway containing the construction robot and a possible exit.
    • Thiago: Thiago reported the cleared building to Jack with very little patience for follow-up questions. His blunt demand helped close the contract before Jack doubled everyone’s payment to 1,000 eddies.
    • Defect: Defect resisted the robot’s biotoxin while most of the crew took damage. Afterward, he claimed the disabled My First GRAF3 construction drone as extremely heavy loot.
    • Bull: Bull crossed the electrified room using the exposed ceiling structure. Later, his tactical assessment revealed that the hidden C9 sat on a central support and could collapse the building.
    • Nova: Nova built the walkway that neutralized the electrical floor trap and salvaged its components. Her later mistake accelerated the C9 timer, but her first solution got everyone safely through the opening hazard.
    • Iris: Iris delivered the decisive moment of the Bozo Bomb Trap. She spent all six Luck, disarmed the building-destroying C9 under pressure, and added the recovered charge to her growing collection of questionable souvenirs.

    Closing Statement

Bozo Bomb Trap completed the haunted-office job with a loud answer to every mystery. Ghosts never stalked Jack Skorkowski’s renovation. Instead, the Bozos filled it with bombs, electrical traps, staged warnings, toy imagery, and a biotoxin robot. Their logos appeared across the devices, confirming the supposed haunting was another dangerous circus prank. The exact Bozo responsible escaped identification, but Thiago now wants a name. Defect would prefer the whole circus.

The crew earned the victory the difficult way. Nova turned construction scraps into a safe bridge and recovered a useful electrical trap. Bull recognized where the C9 could cause maximum structural damage. Defect survived the toxin and left with a robot. Most importantly, Iris stopped the countdown after Nova accidentally advanced it. Jack rewarded the crew with 1,000 eddies each for clearing the site and saving his building. He also promised to continue searching for a new Forlorn Hope location.

However, the largest revelation arrived after the Bozo Bomb Trap ended. Project Halcyon records showed that Claudian Loman, Defect’s rejected birth name, appeared in batch H13. Biotechnica officially ordered Halcyon destroyed, yet Sabine Kessler continued it through Weber Strategic Logistics. She moved people, equipment, samples, and money outside the company. The documents also linked Kressler and Veil Private Financial Services to the trail. Iris recognized no family connection, but the shared surname raised an uncomfortable question.

Episode 6 closed one danger while opening several others. The roller derby wager still awaits its result. Nova has quietly started considering an engagement ring for Celine. Thiago plans to hunt the Bozo who wired the office, and the Halcyon trail now offers several names to investigate. The crew survived the Real Estate Rumble, but the next bomb may be information rather than C9.

  • Episode 5 – Hope Reborn – Real Estate Rumble Unleashes a Deadly Bomb Trap

Episode 5 – Hope Reborn – Real Estate Rumble Unleashes a Deadly Bomb Trap

    Intro Paragraph

Real Estate Rumble began with a promise to help Marianne rebuild the Forlorn Hope. After a week of recovery, the crew searched the Red Chrome Legionnaires’ captured truck. Its damaged radio and GPS history supported a simple conclusion. The gangers had heard the explosion and approached afterward, so they probably did not cause it. The crew passed that evidence and Iris’s security footage to Marianne’s investigators. However, the bomber’s identity remained hidden.

Downtime offered a few welcome distractions. Nova grew closer to Celine Moreau after dinner and several nights together. Iris visited family in Kabuki and saw Winter off before her trip north. Meanwhile, Thiago followed Defect’s search for Project Halcyon and produced an extraordinary lead. Bull heard conflicting rumors about the Forlorn Hope fire, while Defect discovered promising odds on the Woodland Park Muses. Soon, the group had thousands of eddies riding on roller derby and a questionable plan to influence the result.

The Real Estate Rumble started when Marianne sent the crew to meet Jack Skorkowski. The agent promised to find a new home for the bar. First, he wanted help with a troubled office renovation in the Haywood Industrial Zone. Workers reported accidents, strange noises, and blood covering the entrance. Jack offered 500 eddies each, but Thiago negotiated the fee to 600. Inside, the supposed haunting quickly became a deadly trap. A hidden voice locked the crew inside and challenged them to disarm a bomb before the roof collapsed. Nova and Iris beat the countdown, but Thiago’s attempt to recover the first explosive ended with the Vendit machine detonating in his face.

    Key Characters Introduced

    • Celine Moreau: Nova’s corporate partner became more involved in her life during their week together. Dinner and several nights at Celine’s home pushed their relationship toward something more serious.
    • Jack Skorkowski: Marianne’s real estate agent promised to search for a new Forlorn Hope location. He also hired the crew to investigate the dangerous office project that launched the Real Estate Rumble.

    Key Events

    • The truck evidence narrowed the bombing investigation: Radio and GPS records showed the Red Chrome Legionnaires approached after hearing the explosion. The crew handed this information and Iris’s footage to Marianne’s investigators.
    • Project Halcyon finally produced a strong lead: Thiago followed Defect’s ongoing search and achieved an exceptional result. The exact discovery remained unrevealed, but the pair now have a substantial thread to pursue.
    • The crew placed a risky roller derby wager: Defect learned that the Woodland Park Muses were underdogs. Several crew members placed bets, while Thiago found a contact who could arrange a strategic fall and improve their chances.
    • Jack launched the Real Estate Rumble: The agent agreed to seek a new property for Marianne. In exchange, the crew accepted a 600-eddie job investigating an office where frightened workers reported blood, accidents, and unexplained activity.
    • The haunted office became a bomb challenge: A hidden operator locked the crew inside with two explosive traps. Nova disarmed the active Vendit bomb, while Iris neutralized a second device concealed inside a construction light.

    Standout Party Member Moments

    • ChoJo: ChoJo climbed onto the Vendit and inspected the unfinished ceiling during the frantic search. His careful check ruled out an entire hiding place for the second bomb.
    • Bull: Bull overheard rumors that the Forlorn Hope disaster looked like arson. The Red Chrome Legion, Iron Sights, Arasaka, cyberpsychos, and Black Wake Saints all appeared in the neighborhood speculation.
    • Defect: Defect spotted the blinking device inside a construction light when the crew was nearly out of time. His discovery gave Iris the chance to stop the second trap.
    • Thiago: Thiago found a roller derby contact who could influence the Woodland Park Muses’ match. Later, he tried to remove the Vendit explosive, critically failed, and took the blast directly in his armored face.
    • Iris: Iris confirmed that the material on the office entrance was real blood and bypassed its lock. She later disarmed the construction-light trap and recovered an armor-piercing grenade.
    • Nova: Nova traced the bomb countdown with her radio scanner, spent her remaining Luck, and disarmed the active Vendit explosive. Her steady hands kept the opening phase of the Real Estate Rumble from ending in a crater.

    Closing Statement

Real Estate Rumble delivered exactly what its name promised. The crew began by discussing property, rebuilding, and a future home for the Forlorn Hope. Instead, they walked into a locked office controlled by an unseen tormentor. The blood outside was real. The voice on the speaker knew the building’s traps, and the active Vendit bomb could have destroyed the room. Nova stopped that device under pressure. Then Defect and Iris found the construction-light trap before anyone plugged it into the wall.

The victory did not remain tidy. Thiago tried to extract the Vendit explosive after Nova had disarmed it. His critical failure triggered the bomb, smashed part of the lobby, and damaged his armor. Fortunately, he avoided serious injury. The blast also proved Bull’s skepticism wrong in the loudest way available. These were not harmless ghost stories or simple worker nerves. Someone built a controlled death trap and watched the crew struggle through it.

The Real Estate Rumble ended only after they entered the next room. Water covered the floor while electrical arcs cracked through the unfinished space. Two closed doors offered no obvious escape, and the person behind the speaker remained unidentified. Elsewhere, the Woodland Park Muses wager still waits for a result. Thiago and Defect also have a major Halcyon lead waiting to surface. Even Grace Steel needs help rebuilding her band after losing friends in the Forlorn Hope fire.

Episode 5 turned recovery into another dangerous job, but it also moved several larger mysteries forward. The crew cleared the first trap room and kept Jack’s property standing, mostly. Next time, they must cross an electrified space without becoming part of the wiring. If the Real Estate Rumble has more rooms like this one, the new Forlorn Hope may need a real estate agent with better insurance.

  • Episode 4 – Hope Reborn – Night City Carjacking Unleashes a Brutal Gang Ambush

Episode 4 – Hope Reborn – Night City Carjacking Unleashes a Brutal Gang Ambush

    Intro Paragraph

Night City Carjacking turned a desperate street defense into Hope Reborn’s wildest vehicle takeover yet. The crew had barely escaped the collapsing Forlorn Hope when Red Chrome Legionnaires arrived in an overloaded pickup. Marianne needed time to move John and the wounded survivors toward safety. Therefore, the edgerunners stayed behind, tired and exposed, to stop six drugged gangers from reaching them. The attackers looked chemically charged and eager for violence, which removed any lingering hope of talking through the problem.

The attackers spilled into the street while their truck accelerated toward the fleeing survivors. Bull held the forward position and punished anyone who came close. Iris used broken walls and camouflage for cover. Meanwhile, Defect struggled through a brutal run of missed shots, and ChoJo waited for the fight to reach a survivable distance. The Night City Carjacking began when Thiago made a reckless choice. He grabbed the moving truck, climbed into its bed, and shot the unsuspecting driver through the rear window.

That left a speeding truck, a dead driver, and several friends directly ahead. Nova shot out the front-right tire, forcing the vehicle away from Grace and the others. Thiago fought into the cab, turned the damaged pickup around, and drove it back toward the gang. The Night City Carjacking ended with one Legionnaire crushed beneath his own vehicle and the rest overwhelmed by gunfire. Grace also returned to the danger with an assault rifle and proved that the bar’s singer could handle more than a stage. Yet the episode did not stop with the battle. At the clinic, the crew learned John might not recover. Later, Iris found the first real clue pointing toward whoever destroyed the Forlorn Hope.

    Key Characters Introduced

    • Edelweiss: This Forlorn Hope survivor escaped the explosion and waited at the clinic with the others. She joined Grace and the bar’s regulars in mourning Petra.
    • Phoenix Redwing: This doctor and friend of the Freemans ran the no-questions-asked clinic treating John and the other injured survivors.

    Key Events

    • The Red Chrome Legionnaires attacked the survivors: Six drugged gangers arrived while Marianne pushed John toward the parking lot. The crew held the street so the injured Forlorn Hope regulars could escape.
    • Thiago launched the Night City Carjacking: He grabbed the speeding pickup, climbed into its bed, and killed the driver through the rear window. He then forced his way into the cab while the uncontrolled vehicle continued toward the survivors.
    • Nova changed the truck’s deadly course: Nova destroyed the front-right tire while Thiago was still aboard. The blowout pulled the speeding truck away from Grace and the fleeing group, buying them the space needed to survive.
    • The stolen pickup became a weapon: Thiago turned the damaged truck around and drove it through the fight. One Legionnaire failed to dodge and was crushed, while Grace and the crew finished the remaining attackers.
    • Iris uncovered a bombing suspect: Security footage showed a small, feminine figure entering the Forlorn Hope in black clothing. The suspect avoided most cameras, moved near the bathroom, kitchen, and bar area, then left about an hour later.

    Standout Party Member Moments

    • Defect: Defect found solid cover in the Forlorn Hope rubble and kept moving despite a miserable shooting streak. During downtime, he resumed the difficult search for Biotechnica and Project Halcyon leads with Thiago.
    • ChoJo: ChoJo finally rushed into point-blank range, invoked Trinity, and delivered the close-range attack that ended the last Legionnaire’s resistance. His attempt to sell braindance footage later failed because the recording mostly captured terrible angles.
    • Bull: Bull stood closest to the advancing gang, destroyed one attacker’s shooting hand, dodged repeated fire, and grappled another Legionnaire. He became the wall the others could retreat behind.
    • Nova: Nova made the shot that redirected the speeding truck away from the survivors. She later accompanied the wounded to the clinic and paid extra to have the captured pickup’s registration erased.
    • Iris: Iris used camouflage and rubble during the firefight, then reviewed the recovered security footage. Her careful search revealed the mysterious figure who may have planted the bomb.
    • Thiago: Thiago defined the Night City Carjacking by leaping onto the moving truck, killing its driver, taking control, and running down a Legionnaire. He later claimed the pickup, funded its repairs, and returned his entire reward to Marianne.

    Closing Statement

Night City Carjacking delivered a chaotic victory, but the celebration never had room to breathe. The crew stopped the Red Chrome Legionnaires, protected the survivors, and gained a battered pickup. However, the clinic brought the cost of the explosion back into focus. Petra was dead. John remained stable but critically ill, and his damaged lungs could not accept a transplant or cyberware. Marianne had lost a friend, her home, and possibly her husband within one terrible night.

Even so, Hope Reborn finally earned the second half of its name. Marianne promised to rebuild the Forlorn Hope and hired an investigator to uncover the attacker. Thiago and Bull returned their rewards to help her, while Nova kept half for medical supplies. The captured pickup also received a new tire, repaired glass, fresh paint, and erased registration. It was not exactly a clean acquisition. Still, the Night City Carjacking gave the crew transportation, leverage, and one extremely questionable piece of rolling evidence.

The most important development came from Iris. Her footage showed a concealed figure entering early, staying near camera blind spots, and moving toward the area where the explosion began. The suspect’s small, feminine build gives the investigation a direction, but not an identity. Iris also bought an excellent assault rifle after Grace demonstrated the value of better range. Meanwhile, Thiago and Defect still lack answers about Biotechnica, Halcyon, and Militech. The crew survived the ambush and began rebuilding its strength. Next time, the Night City Carjacking may look like the easy part, because finding the bomber means learning who wanted the Forlorn Hope erased.

  • Episode 3 – Forlorn Hope Explosion Turns Into a Deadly Rescue

Episode 3 – Forlorn Hope Explosion Turns Into a Deadly Rescue

    Intro Paragraph

Forlorn Hope Explosion pushed Hope Reborn from cleanup duty into a disaster scene with no time to breathe. The crew had just finished tearing apart Blank’s XBD operation and returned to the Forlorn Hope expecting aftermath, payment, or at least a drink that did not involve structural collapse. Instead, they turned the corner and found smoke, injured regulars, and the bar burning hard enough to make Night City feel even less subtle than usual.

Grace Steel was already outside helping survivors when the crew arrived. She had stepped out while the bar was closing and watched the nightmare unfold from the sidewalk. Most patrons escaped, but Marianne, the Professor, Petra, Jennifer, and band members were still missing inside. That changed the whole session immediately. The Forlorn Hope Explosion was not just damage to a neighborhood hangout. It became a timed rescue with ten rounds before the building came down.

Inside, the session split into several emergencies at once. Fires spread across the bar. Smoke thickened every round. A woman was trapped on an electrified stage. Marianne was pinned behind the collapsed bar. Jennifer was locked inside the walk-in freezer. Petra was trapped in a burning storeroom. Meanwhile, John the Professor used a winch built into his wheelchair to pull rubble off Rory O’Reilly, because apparently even his chair came prepared for dramatic nonsense.

The crew saved several people, but not everyone. Petra warned that she smelled gas before the storeroom exploded and killed her. Then the survivors stumbled outside, wounded and coughing, only for a truck full of Red Chrome Legionnaires to arrive. The Forlorn Hope Explosion ended with the bar collapsing behind them and a fresh ambush charging in front of them. Night City really does hate a clean victory.

    Key Characters Introduced

    • Grace Steel: The lead singer of the band was outside helping injured patrons after the Forlorn Hope Explosion when the crew arrived. Her update sent the team into the burning bar.
    • Jennifer: The Forlorn Hope cook was trapped inside the walk-in freezer until Thiago forced the door open. She immediately ran for safety, displaying excellent survival instincts and no interest in workplace loyalty.
    • Rory O’Reilly: This band member was trapped under office rubble while John the Professor and Marianne tried to pull her free.

    Key Events

    • The Forlorn Hope exploded after Blank’s fall: The crew returned from destroying Blank’s XBD operation and found their home base burning. Injured survivors outside confirmed that several people were still trapped inside.
    • The rescue became a ten-round countdown: The building groaned, fires spread, and smoke filled the room while the crew split up to reach the bar, office, freezer, storeroom, and stage before collapse.
    • The stage trap forced a NET fight: A woman was stranded on an electrified stage. Iris jacked into the stage system, fought an imp in the architecture, and shut down the electricity so the victim could escape.
    • The crew saved several Forlorn Hope regulars: Marianne escaped the collapsed bar, Jennifer ran from the freezer, Rory was freed from the office, and the stage victim made it out before the building fell.
    • Petra died as the storeroom exploded: Petra warned that she smelled gas while trapped under rubble. The room blew before she could be freed, leaving Bull and Defect as the only ones who clearly saw what happened.

    Standout Party Member Moments

    • Winter: Winter was not part of the main rescue action this session, which may be the safest tactical choice anyone made all night.
    • Thiago: Thiago found rebar in the wreckage, helped pry Marianne free, then forced open the walk-in freezer, so Jennifer could sprint out of danger.
    • ChoJo: ChoJo rushed in with a fire extinguisher for the audience, fought a growing blaze, threw the extinguisher at the fire when it stopped helping, and still made time to be dramatic.
    • Nova: Nova turned practical fire knowledge into a rescue plan by moving a heavy wooden table toward the electrified stage. She also stabilized ChoJo after the smoke nearly took him out.
    • Defect: Defect put out an early fire, searched for secondary devices, found Petra by sound, and tried to free her before the gas explosion forced him back.
    • Bull: Bull helped break Marianne free, checked on John and the office rescue, then ran toward Defect and Petra when the situation went bad. He saw Petra die and carried that hard truth outside.
    • Iris: Iris won the session’s most important technical fight. She defeated the imp in the stage system, shut down the electricity, rescued the trapped performer, and later downloaded Forlorn Hope camera footage before escaping.

    Closing Statement

Forlorn Hope Explosion gave Hope Reborn one of its clearest pressure-cooker sessions so far. There was no long debate, no clean setup, and no perfect answer. The crew arrived in the middle of a crisis and had to decide who to save while the map itself tried to kill them. That made every choice feel sharp. A wrong route cost time. A missed roll let the fires grow. One extra round could mean another body left inside.

The session also worked because the disaster hit a familiar place. The Forlorn Hope was not just another bar on the map. It was where Marianne gave them work, where Petra kept watch, where Grace Steel played music, and where the crew expected to return after dealing with Blank. Seeing that place torn open changed the episode’s emotional weight. This was no longer a warehouse raid. This was the neighborhood bleeding.

Petra’s death gave the rescue its sting. The crew saved Jennifer, Rory, Marianne, John, and the woman on the stage, but Night City made sure success still came with a cost. Defect tried. Bull tried. The clock, the gas, and the fire won anyway. That kind of loss fits Cyberpunk RED perfectly: heroism matters, but it doesn’t grant immunity from consequences.

Then the ending made everything worse. The building collapsed, everyone coughed through smoke damage, and Nova patched ChoJo back together before the next threat arrived. A truck screeched into view, six Red Chrome Legionnaires jumped out, and Marianne told the crew to hold them off while the survivors ran for the parking lot. The Forlorn Hope Explosion was not the end of the attack. It was the opening move. Next session, the crew has to fight wounded, tired, and furious, which is exactly when Night City tends to show its teeth.

  • Episode 2 – Chrome Cross Deal Turns Into a Brutal XBD Raid

Episode 2 – Chrome Cross Deal Turns Into a Brutal XBD Raid

    Intro Paragraph

Chrome Cross gave the crew exactly what they needed and absolutely more trouble than anyone ordered. Marianne wanted Blank’s XBD operation stopped because his illegal braindances kept creeping into the Forlorn Hope. The job sounded simple enough on paper. However, Night City loves punishing anyone who says the word “simple” out loud.

The session opened with the crew inside Chrome Cross, a crowded bar full of Red Chrome Legionnaires, heavy drinking, loud customers, and enough bad decisions to qualify as interior design. Blank was there with his bodyguard, dealing chips, pills, and other product from a guarded booth. Bull and Defect spotted the exchange clearly, which confirmed that Blank was still active. More importantly, the crew realized that killing him in the middle of the bar would turn the whole room into a meat grinder.

So ChoJo did what ChoJo does best. He walked into the social fire, charmed Blank, and secured a private midnight meeting at a second location. That address led the team toward the old Ling Po Imports warehouse, where the operation looked less like a slick criminal empire and more like a filthy Night City copy shop for nightmare fuel.

From there, Chrome Cross became the starting point for a messy, violent raid. Nova and Iris slipped inside the warehouse first, playing interested buyers while checking the setup. They found no camera system and no useful jack-in access. However, they did find the real prize: a rare machine copying braindances and XBDs. Once Blank arrived, the plan collapsed into combat, improvisation, and one unforgettable ChoJo problem. By the end, the crew had burned down the operation, killed Blank, and returned to a Forlorn Hope that was already exploding behind them.

    Key Characters Introduced

    • BD/XBD Technician: This unnamed specialist operated the copying machine inside the Ling Po Imports warehouse, making him the technical heart of Blank’s operation.
    • Ling Po Imports Warehouse Crew: These dealers, buyers, and armed mooks protected the warehouse floor, moved product, and became witnesses the crew could not safely leave behind.

    Key Events

    • Chrome Cross exposed Blank’s operation: Inside the crowded bar, the crew watched Blank pass braindance chips, pills, and other product to customers. The scene confirmed that Marianne’s problem was active, organized, and protected by dangerous company.
    • ChoJo secured the midnight warehouse meet: ChoJo used his rockerboy charm to reach Blank through the bodyguard. Inside Chrome Cross Blank offered a private buy later that night, giving the crew a chance to move the job away from Chrome Cross.
    • The warehouse revealed the real choke point: Nova and Iris entered the Ling Po Imports warehouse as buyers. Their scouting found no useful cameras or net access, but it did reveal a BD copying machine that kept the operation alive.
    • Blank died during the private buy: ChoJo met Blank in a back room, endured the worst kind of Night City sales pitch, then killed him at point-blank range. It was gross, effective, and very on brand.
    • The raid ended with fire, blood, and a new disaster: The crew killed Blank’s bodyguard, the technician, and the remaining warehouse threats. They destroyed the XBD machine and stash, only to return to the Forlorn Hope as an explosion tore through the bar.

    Standout Party Member Moments

    • Bull: Bull read the Red Chrome Legion’s motives in Chrome Cross with sharp street instincts and pushed through several strategic options before the job turned into a warehouse fight.
    • Thiago: Thiago looked for alternate routes, sabotage angles, and better leverage, then paid hard when a trapped BD drawer exploded during the cleanup.
    • Iris: Iris checked the warehouse for tech, confirmed the lack of cameras or jack-in points, and helped identify the copying machine as the operation’s real weak spot.
    • Nova: Nova bluffed her way into the warehouse, bought Piranha Smash, helped scout the floor, and later backed ChoJo’s wild cover story with a strong persuasion play.
    • Winter: Winter stayed dangerous with her bow, wounded enemies from the doorway, and chased down a fleeing witness before he could escape the warehouse mess.
    • Defect: Defect pushed for practical violence from the start, kept focus on shutting down the operation, and killed the technician who helped keep Blank’s product moving.
    • ChoJo: ChoJo carried the social side of the session, lured Blank into a private meeting, killed him, and then helped sell the chaos as the bodyguard’s fault. Nobody said it was graceful. It worked anyway.

    Closing Statement

Chrome Cross started as a surveillance problem and ended as the doorway into a full XBD raid. The crew did not just find Blank. They found the rough shape of his business. The bar connected him to buyers, gang-adjacent muscle, and the Red Chrome Legion scene. Meanwhile, the Ling Po Imports warehouse showed how the product moved and how quickly a quiet buy could become a death spiral.

The smartest move was not the cleanest one. ChoJo’s private meeting put him in serious danger, yet it also gave the crew their best shot at removing Blank from the board. Once the first shot landed, the rest of the team had to improvise through panic, lies, arrows, gunfire, explosions, and collapsing witness control. Night City did not reward patience, but it did reward commitment.

By the end, Marianne’s request looked complete on paper. Blank was dead. The bodyguard was dead. The technician was dead. The copier and XBD stash were destroyed. However, the final scene made victory feel very temporary. The crew rolled back toward the Forlorn Hope expecting to report a successful job. Instead, they saw smoke, injured people, and a bombed-out bar with people trapped inside.

That cliffhanger changes everything. If Blank’s operation had allies, they may have struck first. If another enemy used the chaos as cover, the crew just walked into a much larger war. Either way, the Forlorn Hope is no longer just Marianne’s bar or the crew’s neighborhood anchor. It is now a rescue scene, a crime scene, and maybe the opening shot of the next disaster. Hope Reborn keeps living up to its name, mostly by making everyone earn the “hope” part with bruises, bad choices, and fresh trauma.

Episode 1 – Hope Reborn – Red Chrome Legionnaires Expose a Dangerous XBD Trap

    Intro Paragraph

Red Chrome Legionnaires turned a simple favor for the Forlorn Hope into a dangerous Night City trap. Marianne wanted the crew to stop Blank, an XBD dealer who kept sneaking into her bar. His extreme braindances and hardware had become a blight on the neighborhood. She did not order the crew to kill him. However, she made it clear that his safety was not part of the contract. The job sounded direct: find Blank, destroy his XBD operation, and make sure he never bothered the Forlorn Hope again.

Before the hunt could begin, the crew settled the problem left by Aisha’s copied engrams. Rogue offered more cash, but Sable offered debt relief and information about Thiago’s ruined cyberware deal. The group chose Sable and prioritized helping their fixer. Each member received 1,500 eddies, while Thiago’s remaining debt and interest fell sharply. More importantly, Sable delivered an old transaction record. The authorization carried a familiar name: Sabine Kessler, a senior Biotechnica figure connected to Project Halcyon and Defect’s past.

That discovery linked Thiago’s missing money and cyberware to Defect’s search for answers. Still, Marianne’s assignment demanded immediate attention. Normal searches produced nothing on Blank. ChoJo finally used his influence to send a loyal fan into Little China’s braindance scene. The fan identified Chrome Cross as Blank’s regular dealing spot. Defect urged the others to conduct reconnaissance instead of charging through another door. The crew then spent a full week monitoring the Forlorn Hope, yet Blank never appeared. They finally entered the damaged dive bar on Friday night. Red Chrome Legionnaires symbols covered the room. Blank waited in a protected booth with a bodyguard and gang members nearby. Suddenly, asking one dealer to leave looked much less simple.

    Key Characters Introduced

    • Sabine Kessler: This senior Biotechnica figure authorized the transaction behind Thiago’s disastrous deal, connecting his debt to Project Halcyon and Defect’s history.
    • Blank’s Bodyguard: This imposing guard controlled access to Blank’s booth inside Chrome Cross and signaled that a quiet confrontation would require more than confidence.

    Key Events

    • The crew accepted Sable’s engram deal: The group chose major relief from Thiago’s debt, erased interest, immediate cash, and new information over Rogue’s larger but slower payout. Sable adjusted the payment so each crew member received 1,500 eddies.
    • Sabine Kessler connected two mysteries: Sable’s old transaction record named Kessler as the person who approved the deal that left Thiago without the buyer, money, or cyberware. Her established connection to Project Halcyon revealed that Thiago and Defect were chasing parts of the same conspiracy.
    • Marianne sent the crew after Blank: Blank had repeatedly sold XBDs inside or around the Forlorn Hope. Marianne wanted the hardware and dealing stopped, while Petra confirmed that normal security had failed to keep him away.
    • ChoJo’s fan found Chrome Cross: Searches of criminal records, local boards, and street contacts failed. ChoJo then recruited a devoted fan, who returned the next morning with Blank’s main dealing location near the Forlorn Hope.
    • The Red Chrome Legionnaires changed the mission: After watching the Forlorn Hope for a week, the crew finally entered Chrome Cross. The Red Chrome Legionnaires controlled the crowded bar while Blank sat behind a bodyguard and several allies, forcing the crew to reconsider any direct attack.

    Standout Party Member Moments

    • Bull: Bull questioned why the Aisha copies commanded so much money, helping establish that corporations wanted the mind-copying technology rather than Aisha herself. He later slept through the trip to Chrome Cross.
    • Nova: Nova abandoned a costly fashion spree, bought armor-piercing ammunition through Thiago, and followed Winter into Chrome Cross when the reconnaissance moved inside.
    • Iris: Iris searched for digital traces of Blank and monitored the Forlorn Hope’s security cameras during the week-long stakeout, although the dealer never appeared.
    • Winter: Winter canvassed Little China with Thiago, volunteered for the first surveillance shift, and became the first crew member to walk into Chrome Cross.
    • Defect: Defect rejected an impulsive assault, questioned Marianne about Blank’s habits, requested camera access, and pushed the crew toward surveillance before anyone started shooting.
    • ChoJo: ChoJo succeeded where every normal search failed. He recruited one intensely loyal fan, sent him after Blank, and received the Chrome Cross location the following morning.
    • Thiago: Thiago gained major relief from Sable, then learned that Sabine Kessler approved the transaction that ruined him. That clue joined his past directly to Defect’s Project Halcyon mystery.

    Closing Statement

Red Chrome Legionnaires did not appear until the final moments, but their presence changed every assumption behind the job. Blank was not an isolated dealer hiding in an alley. He operated from a crowded gang hangout with a bodyguard and a controlled booth. The crew had already entered hostile territory before they understood whose territory it was. Defect’s call for reconnaissance suddenly looked less cautious and more like the only reason they were not walking into the room with weapons drawn.

The episode also opened a deeper mystery before sending everyone toward Chrome Cross. Sabine Kessler’s authorization tied Thiago’s failed transaction to Project Halcyon, Biotechnica, and Defect’s history. Sable provided only one thread, yet it was enough to merge two personal searches. Thiago’s missing buyer may not have simply vanished. The lost cyberware may also have served a purpose connected to Halcyon. As a result, the engram deal closed one dangerous chapter while exposing a conspiracy that could define Hope Reborn.

Now the crew must decide how to handle Blank without provoking the Red Chrome Legionnaires around him. They could watch his customers, approach under false pretenses, isolate him from his guards, or search for the XBD hardware first. None of those options will be easy inside a packed Friday-night bar. Blank’s bodyguard controls access to the booth, while customers move through under gang supervision. The crew also has no clear view of where he stores the XBD hardware. Moreover, one careless threat could turn a neighborhood favor into a fight against every gang member in the room. Hope Reborn begins with old debts shrinking, hidden connections surfacing, and the crew learning that the sensible plan still leads directly into trouble.

  • Episode 3 – Agents of Desire – Engram Black Market Reveals a Dangerous Fixer Showdown

Episode 3 – Agents of Desire – Engram Black Market Reveals a Dangerous Fixer Showdown

    Intro Paragraph

Engram Black Market profits became the crew’s next problem after the warehouse firefight ended. More than one hundred copies of Aisha remained trapped on the servers, and the NCPD was only three minutes away. Iris found offline storage for the engrams while Bull prepared to erase the crime scene with fire. Meanwhile, Defect and Nova searched for evidence, Thiago tried contacting Rogue, and ChoJo recorded material that could implicate everyone. The crew had survived the gunfight. Now they needed to escape with the most dangerous merchandise in Night City.

The frantic search produced the original Aisha agent, thousands of eddies, and several intact pistols. Then Bull’s improvised fire began spreading through the server farm. Thiago jammed the front entrance and raced through burning hallways. Iris slipped out but attracted cameras from nearby witnesses. Nova protected her by stealing an agent containing an incriminating image. The crew escaped, yet the Engram Black Market followed them. Lotus LeMarch had vanished, Sledge knew Bull had found his message, and someone appeared to be tracking every move the edgerunners made.

Returning Aisha’s original agent completed Kodai Khan’s contract and earned each crew member one thousand eddies. However, Iris wisely kept the copies. That decision left the crew controlling a digital fortune nobody could move safely. Rogue offered thirty thousand eddies to take the entire risk. Sable offered less cash but promised to erase much of Thiago’s crushing debt and provide valuable information. Consequently, the Engram Black Market transformed a successful rescue into a dangerous fixer showdown where every profitable option carried teeth.

    Key Characters Introduced

    • Kevin Dickens: The dead phone thief from La Lune Bleue was finally identified inside the server farm, confirming the crew had reached the duplication operation.
    • Sable: Thiago’s ruthless former fixer offered debt relief, cash, and valuable information in exchange for every copied engram.
    • Blank: This XBD dealer became the crew’s next target after Marianne asked for help to stop him from troubling the Forlorn Hope.

    Key Events

    • The crew captured the Aisha engrams: Iris transferred more than one hundred digital copies to offline storage during the three-minute NCPD countdown. The destination offered temporary safety, although Iris could not guarantee that the files were untraceable.
    • The server farm burned: Bull built a delayed ignition from chemicals and wiring found inside the facility. The crew split between two exits while Thiago jammed the front door and sprinted through spreading flames.
    • The original Aisha agent returned home: Defect and Nova recovered the source agent used to create the copies. Iris cloned it before the crew returned the original to Kodai and collected their payment.
    • Sledge proved the crew was being watched: Bull received a message stating that an unnamed woman was still alive. Sledge warned him not to investigate and promised to discuss a trade only when Bull became useful.
    • Two fixers valued the Engram Black Market: Rogue offered thirty thousand eddies and accepted the risk of moving the files. Sable offered ten thousand, major relief from Thiago’s debt, and information tied to several unresolved mysteries.

    Standout Party Member Moments

    • Winter: Winter escaped safely through the rear route as the crew scattered before the NCPD could secure the burning server farm.
    • ChoJo: ChoJo recorded Bull preparing the fire, but his poor camera work and existing footage made hiding Bull’s identity harder than expected.
    • Bull: Bull created the delayed server-farm fire, disappeared into the crowd, and later received Sledge’s chilling message about an unnamed woman still being alive.
    • Nova: Nova protected Iris by stealing a witness’s agent containing an incriminating photograph. The device later became the crew’s backup copy of Aisha.
    • Iris: Iris moved the entire engram cache to offline storage, investigated LeMarch’s disappearance, erased the crew’s surveillance footage, and cloned Aisha’s agent before the handoff.
    • Thiago: Thiago revealed how a failed gun-running deal left him buried under Sable’s debt. Her offer forced the Engram Black Market decision into painfully personal territory.
    • Defect: Defect pitched more than one hundred viable engrams and their buyer contracts to Rogue. His proposal alarmed a legendary fixer and secured a standing offer worth thirty thousand eddies.

    Closing Statement

The Engram Black Market gave the crew leverage, but it also revealed how exposed they had become. Sledge knew Bull had discovered the Blackwater Saints message. Sable knew about the engrams despite Thiago sending Rogue only a vague request. Even LeMarch vanished behind a suspicious gap in his building’s camera footage. Bull correctly warned that ChoJo’s recordings, Thiago’s street inquiries, or another unseen leak might be broadcasting the crew’s movements. In Night City, valuable information rarely stays private. More often, it invites strangers to start calculating how much the owners are worth dead.

Rogue offered the cleaner exit. She would take every engram, assume the liability, and spend months avoiding NetWatch and old Arasaka interests. However, her thirty thousand eddies would not free Thiago from Sable. The rival fixer offered less immediate cash but far greater personal value. She promised to remove at least half his debt, cancel its runaway interest, and reveal information about the buyer who vanished with his guns. She might also know something useful about Defect’s search for a replacement body. Therefore, the Engram Black Market is no longer a simple payday. It is a choice between relative safety and dangerous opportunity.

Before the crew could settle that choice, Marianne added another problem. Blank had been selling extreme braindances near the Forlorn Hope, despite the bar’s strict ban. She wanted his operation dismantled by any effective method. In return, the crew could earn free food, drinks, favored status, and a permanent table. Bull accepted when Marianne promised mango kibble, then admitted he had not heard the assignment. Priorities remain undefeated. Next time, the crew must choose a fixer, protect its secrets, and decide whether Blank’s career ends quietly or with another suspicious fire.

  • Episode 2 – Agents of Desire – Shocking Soulkiller Secret Reveals Hundreds of Aisha Copies

Episode 2 – Agents of Desire – Shocking Soulkiller Secret Reveals Hundreds of Aisha Copies

    Intro Paragraph

Soulkiller Secret turned a missing-person case into one of Night City’s ugliest digital nightmares. The crew resumed Aisha Tang’s trail after their strange night at La Lune Bleue. Winter returned after being detained, while Iris shared footage of Kodai Khan dining across from an empty chair. Then the evidence became even stranger. Aisha had left 4overTechnologies twelve years earlier, despite Kodai believing she still worked there. Her latest message warned about other women, approaching buyers, and only a few hours remaining.

The crew traced custom firmware on both agents to Lotus LeMarch, an elite tech living nearby. Getting through his door required a fake delivery involving rare pickled asparagus, because Night City investigations occasionally run on preserved vegetables. Nova finally persuaded LeMarch to talk. He admitted that Kodai had blackmailed him into using his program on a drugged Aisha, creating the Soulkiller Secret. The program killed her body, copied her consciousness, and loaded her engram onto an agent. Kodai’s altered optics and audio then let him see and hear the digital Aisha as if she remained beside him.

LeMarch installed a tracking program called Find Aisha, which led the crew to a rundown warehouse. Defect slipped inside first, and Iris followed to access its closed network. Their careful plan lasted until an armed ganger spotted Iris. A sprawling gunfight followed across server rooms and narrow corridors. Meanwhile, Iris fought Black ICE inside the network. The Soulkiller Secret fully emerged while the fight still raged. The warehouse held scores of Aisha copies, each trapped in a server and begging Iris for freedom. Their combined cries overloaded Iris and threw her out of the Net. Signed contracts showed that corporations planned to buy these digital prisoners. A Blackwater Saints message also connected the operation to Bull’s missing sister.

    Key Characters Introduced

    • Lotus LeMarch: This elite tech admitted that Kodai blackmailed him into running Soulkiller on Aisha and placing her consciousness inside an agent.
    • Sledge: This Blackwater Saints contact signed a threatening message seeking the technology behind Aisha’s digital consciousness, wanting to use the Soulkiller Secret.
    • Blackwater Saints: This dangerous group wanted similar technology for a captive and created a deeply personal connection to Bull’s missing sister.

    Key Events

    1. Custom firmware exposed a new lead: Iris discovered LeMarch’s name throughout the custom firmware on Kodai’s and Aisha’s agents. Research then led the crew to the elite tech’s apartment.
    2. LeMarch revealed the Soulkiller Secret: After Nova gained his trust, LeMarch admitted that Kodai forced him to digitize Aisha. He also explained that Kodai’s implants made the engram appear beside him.
    3. Find Aisha located the stolen agent: LeMarch modified Kodai’s agent with a tracking application. Its signal guided the crew to a rundown warehouse filled with server racks.
    4. The warehouse erupted into two battles: An armed ganger spotted Iris during the infiltration. The crew fought through the building while Iris battled hostile Black ICE inside its network.
    5. Hundreds of Aisha copies begged for freedom: The crew discovered mass-produced versions of Aisha awaiting corporate sale. Their pleas overloaded Iris and forced her out of the Net. The crew also found a Blackwater Saints message that may connect the operation to Bull’s missing sister.

    Standout Party Member Moments

    • Thiago: Thiago turned rare pickled asparagus into a surprisingly effective delivery scam, helping the crew reach LeMarch and obtain the Find Aisha tracker.
    • Nova: Nova used her medical credentials and persuasion to break through LeMarch’s defenses. She then became the crew’s loudest voice against excusing Aisha’s murder.
    • Defect: Defect slipped into the warehouse alone, mapped the immediate danger, counted armed footsteps, and returned with the reconnaissance needed for the infiltration.
    • ChoJo: ChoJo documented the operation for his followers, rushed inside when Iris called for help, and later left one ganger with a devastating spinal injury.
    • Winter: Winter charged into danger to protect Iris. She later ended a badly wounded ganger with a precise arrow after the firefight spread through the warehouse.
    • Iris: Iris defeated the warehouse’s Black ICE and found scores of Aisha engrams pleading for freedom. Their combined voices dealt serious damage and threw her out of the Net.
    • Bull: Bull absorbed a gunshot with his new shield, answered with a shotgun, and finished the final ganger with his fists. Then he found a Blackwater Saints message that may point toward his missing sister.

    Closing Statement

The Soulkiller Secret answered the mystery at La Lune Bleue, but it created a much worse problem. Kodai was never dining with a physical woman. His altered senses let him interact with Aisha’s engram while everyone else saw an empty chair. LeMarch claimed Kodai said Aisha had terminal cancer. However, the digital Aisha denied ever being sick. She still believed she was waiting to return to the husband who arranged her death.

The warehouse made that tragedy industrial. Hundreds of Aisha copies called to Iris from separate servers. Each wanted freedom. Meanwhile, signed contracts promised those consciousnesses to corporate buyers as search agents and other digital tools. The crew can no longer treat this as a simple recovery job. Returning one copy could earn their payment and satisfy Rogue’s assignment. It could also reward Kodai and leave the remaining engrams trapped. Turning against him may protect Aisha, but it would erase the clean payday and invite new enemies.

Then Bull found the Blackwater Saints message. Its author wanted the same technology for another captive, and Bull immediately feared that captive could be his missing sister. The discovery transformed a corporate trafficking scheme into a personal threat. Before the next session, the crew must decide what counts as saving Aisha. They also need to learn who wants to buy the copies, what Sledge plans to do, and whether Bull’s sister is still alive. Night City offered them hundreds of voices, one furious lawman, and no painless answer.

  • Episode 1 – Agents of Desire – La Lune Bleue Hides a Cyberpunk RED Kidnapping

Episode 1 – Agents of Desire – La Lune Bleue Hides a Cyberpunk RED Kidnapping

    Intro Paragraph

La Lune Bleue became the center of a Cyberpunk RED mystery after the crew finally recovered from Lord Ruthven. Their morning began at the Forlorn Hope on March 10, 2045. Rent was approaching, Speedheals needed restocking, and Bull was learning to live with his new cyberarm. Then Rogue entered with an entourage and an offer. Night City’s famous solo turned fixer had heard about the crew’s last rescue. Now she wanted to test these rising edgerunners with a discreet missing-person job.

The client was Kodai Khan, a Ziggurat middle manager whose wife, Aisha Tiang, vanished during dinner. Kodai claimed she disappeared from La Lune Bleue while he visited the restroom. He offered each crew member 1,000 eddies for her safe return. However, his story created more questions than answers. Why avoid corporate security? Why would anyone kidnap a low-level administrator? Most importantly, how could someone disappear from a guarded luxury restaurant without a witness? A terrified voicemail from Aisha made the danger sound real, even as suspicion stayed close to Kodai.

The crew dressed for the venue and split into teams. Iris, Bull, ChoJo, and Nova entered La Lune Bleue, while Defect and Winter watched outside. Thiago handled research and Kodai’s agent. Inside, style mattered almost as much as money. So did access. Maurice, the defensive maître d’, wanted reservations and eddies, not questions. Iris quietly found another route through the restaurant’s network. What she uncovered changed the case. The cameras showed Kodai dining across from an empty chair. They also exposed an agent theft near his table. Before anyone could untangle that impossible evidence, an unidentified woman planted a stolen agent on Winter and turned the investigation into an arrest.

    Key Characters Introduced

    • Rogue: The legendary former solo arrived as a powerful fixer and offered the crew a chance to prove themselves through a discreet rescue job.
    • Kodai Khan: This Ziggurat middle manager hired the crew to recover his missing wife while keeping the disappearance away from corporate security.
    • Aisha Tiang: Kodai’s missing wife became the heart of the investigation through photographs, loving messages, and two frightened voicemails.
    • Maurice: The maître d’ and front manager of La Lune Bleue guarded the restaurant’s privacy, resisted questions, and became defensive about its cameras.
    • Unidentified Restaurant Woman: This suspicious woman bumped into Winter and planted a stolen agent in her clutch. Soon afterward, someone else accused Winter of theft.
    • Nova’s Corporate Admirer: An unnamed corporate manager caught Nova’s attention at the bar and turned a surveillance visit into an unexpected romantic night.

    Key Events

    1. Rogue offered the crew a test from the big leagues: Rogue visited the Forlorn Hope after hearing about the Reinmeyer rescue. She offered the crew a starter gig that could raise their reputation and lead to more work.
    2. Kodai Khan described Aisha’s impossible disappearance: Kodai said Aisha vanished from their private balcony at La Lune Bleue during his short restroom trip. He offered 7,000 eddies total and promised to become a Ziggurat communications contact if the crew brought her home.
    3. Aisha called from captivity: A voicemail reached Kodai’s personal agent while the crew stood in his apartment. Aisha said someone had covered her head, taken her from the restaurant, and locked her in a dark room. A second message later described hunger, fear, and an unreliable signal.
    4. La Lune Bleue‘s cameras contradicted the story: Iris entered the restaurant network and confirmed the reservation. However, the footage showed Kodai talking, eating, and reaching toward an empty chair for the entire evening. It also showed a man stealing an agent from a nearby table.
    5. Winter was framed for the restaurant’s theft ring: After using a lost-wallet story to ask about the cameras, Winter was bumped by an unidentified woman. Another person accused her, and guards found a stolen agent planted in her clutch. They charged her with petty theft and opened a case against her.

    Standout Party Member Moments

    • Defect: Defect questioned Kodai’s story from the start, pushed the crew to investigate every suspect, and took an outside surveillance position rather than walking blindly into the restaurant.
    • ChoJo: ChoJo summoned a fan named Jimmy Jack to bring him a sandwich, talked Kodai into a future dinner invitation, and later enjoyed the full La Lune Bleue experience while the investigation unraveled around him.
    • Bull: Bull treated Kodai as a possible suspect, then questioned a talkative bartender at La Lune Bleue. The bartender insisted he never saw Aisha, adding another crack to Kodai’s account.
    • Thiago: Thiago negotiated more than money. He secured Kodai as a future Ziggurat communications contact, researched Aisha’s ordinary corporate background, and carried the personal agent receiving her calls.
    • Nova: Nova successfully made four Speedheals before the job, dressed for La Lune Bleue, and met a corporate admirer who covered her tab before the pair disappeared into the night together.
    • Iris: Iris quietly breached La Lune Bleue’s network, cracked its reservation records and camera controls, and recovered the impossible footage that transformed a kidnapping into a deeper conspiracy.
    • Winter: Winter rented a dress, entered alone with a lost-wallet cover story, and pressed Maurice about the cameras. Her investigation ended with a planted agent, security cuffs, a petty theft charge, and Night City’s least convenient new record.

    Closing Statement

La Lune Bleue gave the crew evidence, but none of it fits together cleanly. Kodai’s apartment contained photographs and affectionate messages that supported his marriage. Aisha’s calls sounded frightened and urgent. Yet the restaurant cameras showed Kodai spending two hours across from an empty chair. He spoke to someone who was not visible, reached for a hand that was not there, and received service for two. Either the recording was altered, Aisha was concealed, or this case is stranger than a normal kidnapping.

The stolen agents add another layer. Someone lifted a device near Kodai’s table on the night Aisha vanished. Later atLa Lune Bleue, an unidentified woman slipped another stolen agent into Winter’s clutch. A separate accuser then pointed security toward her. That timing does not feel random. Maurice’s anger about the cameras also leaves the restaurant under suspicion. Whatever operates inside La Lune Bleue knows how to hide evidence and redirect attention toward an easy target.

Meanwhile, the crew left with very different results. Nova found romance. ChoJo found an expensive meal. Bull found a bartender with no memory of Aisha. Thiago received another desperate message. Iris captured the night’s most important evidence. Winter received handcuffs and a criminal accusation for her trouble. It was not the clean reconnaissance mission anyone planned.

The next session must answer the problem hiding in plain sight. Was Aisha ever physically inside La Lune Bleue? Who edited or manipulated the camera record? Why are agents disappearing around Kodai’s table? Most importantly, who framed Winter before the crew could follow the evidence? Rogue wanted to test a group of rising edgerunners. Night City answered with an empty chair, a frightened voice, and a restaurant that appears determined to keep its secrets.

  • Episode 0 – Agents of Desire – Cyberpunk Downtime Ignites Hopeful Curiosity in the Crew

Episode 0 – Agents of Desire – Cyberpunk Downtime Ignites Hopeful Curiosity in the Crew

    Intro Paragraph

This week they had a solid amount of cyberpunk downtime which took center stage after the crew survived Lord Ruthven, rescued Lucy Reinmeier, and crawled out of the desecrated chapel with their bodies mostly attached. The session did not open with another gunfight. Instead, it opened with the very Cyberpunk RED problem of what happens after the bodies hit the floor. Luck reset. Improvement points landed. Rent appeared on the calendar like a corporate invoice with teeth. Everyone had to face the ugly truth that victory in Night City still comes with repairs, medical bills, and a fresh reminder that the rent is too damn high.

That made this episode feel like a hard reset before the next real disaster. The crew returned to their cargo container housing in the Heywood docks, rested through a few days, and reached Friday, March 10, 2045. Nova handled bandages and recovery, while the group visited the Forlorn Hope and processed the reputation bump from saving Lucy. However, the cyberpunk downtime also gave the table room to chase stranger consequences. Nova claimed the purple and yellow clown outfit without knowing it marked her as wearing Bozo gang colors. Winter still had a clown head with cyber eyes. Bull needed a replacement for his lost hand.

Meanwhile, the shopping list turned into its own adventure during the cyberpunk downtime. Thiago worked contacts for cyberware, armor, and gun deals. Bull upgraded into a cyberarm with a pop-up shield. Nova tried to repair armor with mixed results. Winter stocked up on armor-piercing arrows and finally bought armor. Defect started looking past immediate survival toward Project Halcyon, Militech contacts, and the possibility of shutting down the program tied to his past.

    Key Characters

    • Freddy the Fixer: Thiago’s remembered contact entered the conversation as a possible connection for finding cyberware and getting Bull’s replacement arm handled.
    • SovOil: The lubricant company became a strange but memorable bit of Night City worldbuilding after Nova found medical lubricant in her inventory.

    Key Events

    1. The crew collected the rewards from Ruthven’s fall: The party received 120 improvement points for completing the adventure, saving Lucy Reinmeier, and gaining reputation for the rescue. That pushed most of the crew to 240 total IP.
    2. Nova accidentally stepped into Bozo territory: Nova claimed the purple and yellow clown outfit, liked it far more than expected, and added it to her gear without realizing the colors tied her to the Bozos.
    3. The calendar made rent real: The group moved to March 10, 2045, after resting in their Heywood docks cargo containers. The session also established the looming 1,000 eddie monthly rent.
    4. Bull replaced his lost hand with chrome: Thiago found a ripperdoc connection, helped discount the cyberware, and Bull bought a right cyberarm with a pop-up shield after rolling wildly uneven humanity loss.
    5. Defect pointed the story toward Halcyon and Militech: After the maintenance work, Defect laid out two long-term goals: dig into Project Halcyon and find a path toward rare Militech full-body conversion cyberware.

    Standout Party Member Moments

    • Iris: Iris helped sort out the rules chatter, rent pressure, and recovery logistics while staying tied into the crew’s next phase after the chapel.
    • ChoJo: ChoJo turned routine inventory talk into chaos, including the “Cho hole” rebrand and a steady stream of bad ideas about surgery and gear.
    • Winter: Winter kept the clown head and its cyber eyes in play, bought armor-piercing arrows, finally picked up armor, and left with one last jab.
    • Nova: Nova became the session’s best walking complication by claiming the clown outfit, discovering her medical lubricant, repairing some armor, and accepting that her surgery path needs work.
    • Thiago: Thiago did classic fixer work, finding Bull’s cyberware connection, negotiating discounts, selling looted guns, and buying a better pistol even after one painful haggle.
    • Bull: Bull took the biggest mechanical leap by replacing the missing hand with a cyberarm and pop-up shield, then worked out how the shield could eat an entire incoming hit.
    • Defect: Defect gave the downtime its long-term edge by asking Thiago to help investigate Project Halcyon, hunt for other survivors, and start searching for a Militech body.

    Closing Statement

This session was mostly cyberpunk downtime that proved that a quiet session can still move the campaign forward. Nobody kicked down a chapel door this time. Nobody had to stake Lord Ruthven again. However, the damage from that adventure shaped every choice. The group spent improvement points, counted eddies, fixed armor, bought ammo, and learned that surviving a job is only the first bill. After that comes rent, replacement gear, and the slow math of staying alive in Night City.

Nova’s Bozo outfit may become the funniest problem on the board. She wanted a cleaned-up costume because it looked good. Unfortunately, Night City does not care about personal style without context. If she walks around in those colors, someone may decide she is representing a gang she barely understands. That is exactly the kind of consequence that makes a downtime episode matter.

Bull’s new chrome during the cyberpunk downtime also changes the crew’s future fights. A cyberarm with a pop-up shield gives him a real answer to incoming fire, but it costs humanity and changes how he moves. Meanwhile, Winter’s cyber-eye salvage waits for another session, and Defect’s Halcyon goals point toward a much larger story.

The crew ended the night restocked, patched up, and closer to ready after the cyberpunk downtime. Still, ready is a dangerous word in Cyberpunk RED. Rent is coming. Project Halcyon is still out there. Militech may have the body Defect wants. In addition, the next real adventure will be “Agents of Desire” and now the crew is carrying fresh chrome, fresh problems, and just enough confidence to get into worse trouble.

    Find More Cyberpunk RED Chaos

The previous chapter ended with Desecrated Chapel Reveals a Shocking Cyberpunk RED Trap, where the crew found Lucy, faced Lord Ruthven, and uncovered Project Halcyon.

For the fight that cost Bull his hand, read Union Chapel Ambush Explodes Into Cyberpunk RED Chaos and follow the crew into the chapel’s first brutal trap.

Readers can also browse the Cyberpunk RED category for more Night City recaps. For tabletop horror outside Night City, the Call of Cthulhu category has more campaign stories.
