About

Welcome! My name is John, and gaming has been a part of my life since the late 1970s. I grew up alongside the gaming industry, from early home computers, consoles, and tabletop adventures to the enormous digital worlds and incredible technology we have today. Over the decades, I’ve spent countless hours playing computer games, exploring new technology, and gathering around the table with friends for role-playing games. Amerisun.me is where I bring all of those interests together, sharing my experiences, discoveries, opinions, and the occasional trip down memory lane with others who enjoy gaming and technology as much as I do.

Here you’ll find articles covering computer games, tabletop role-playing games, gaming hardware, technology, industry developments, and whatever else happens to catch my interest. Tabletop RPGs are a particular passion of mine, so you’ll also find campaign recaps, characters, adventure ideas, artwork, and stories from the games my friends and I play. On the technology side, I enjoy experimenting with hardware, software, networking, home labs, servers, gaming technology, and new tools that make our increasingly connected lives more interesting. Some posts are tutorials and guides designed to help solve a problem, while others are reviews, opinions, gaming experiences, or simply something useful I discovered and thought was worth sharing.

Fantasy and science fiction are never far away either. I’ve always been drawn to imaginative worlds, whether they come from a tabletop campaign, a computer screen, a novel, or an idea that sends me down an unexpected rabbit hole. Ultimately, Amerisun.me is a place for gaming, technology, creativity, storytelling, and my latest geeky obsession. I also want the site to be shaped by the people who visit it, so if there’s a tutorial you’d like to see, a technology topic you want me to explore, a game you think I should check out, or something you’d like to see covered on the site, please reach out through my Contact page and let me know! I’m always looking for interesting ideas and new things to explore.

Thanks for stopping by and spending some time here. I hope you find something useful, entertaining, or interesting enough to send you down a rabbit hole of your own.
